About The Position

Ford Motor Company is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to join our Parts Distribution Center team in Houston, TX. In this vital onsite role, you will lead a skilled team, ensuring safety protocols are rigorously followed, inventory is accurately managed, and orders are fulfilled efficiently and on time. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn current systems (SAP/EWM)
  • Minimum 1 year leadership experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years operational experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently.
  • Goal oriented mindset.
  • A continuous Improvement mindset with a focus on quality and reduced costs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to ensure accountability from all employees.
  • Proven dependability record and successful team-oriented experience.
  • Must have ability and experience to work in a fast paced environment and work under pressure to meet and/or exceed dealer shipping deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years operational experience within a High Velocity Center preferred.
  • Previous UAW/HVC supervisory experience preferred, willing to work rotating work hours when required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 year leadership experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years operational experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inbound, outbound, and claims processing
  • Responsible for delivering objectives including but not limited to: Building Safety, positive UAW Relationships, Error Rate, Denial Rate, Inventory Accuracy, Overtime Percentage, Absenteeism, Vacation Scheduling, Grid Time, On Time Delivery, ISO 14001 Environmental Responsibilities, LPMH, Process Adherence/Improvement, Accountability, Customer Satisfaction, Accurate Application of the Ford-UAW National and Local Contracts, Direct Supervision/training of GSR 6 supervisors.
  • Overall Building Organization and Cleanliness, Grievance Resolution, Supervision mentoring and Willingness to Work ALL shifts as required.
  • Cover crews in supervisor's absence.
  • Attend, facilitate, and submit proper documentation for crew meetings.
  • Prepare/maintain work related records as needed.
  • Schedule manpower (including overtime and vacation).
  • Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives toward best in class performance.
  • Act as a champion of workplace safety, proactively enforcing regulations and fostering a culture of vigilance
  • Lead and direct a team of employees across various warehouse functions, including Receiving, Packaging, Replenishment, Picking, and Shipping, ensuring the team consistently ships high-quality products and meets or exceeds production targets. You will take ownership of team performance, addressing shortcomings proactively and celebrating successes.
  • Prioritize critical tasks and effectively allocate human resources to maximize efficiency. You will apply for a "Bias for Action," promptly and decisively addressing safety and quality issues to prevent larger problems. This includes identifying and analyzing problems, developing and implementing effective solutions, making timely and well-informed decisions, and adapting to changing circumstances.
  • Embrace a servant leadership style, focusing on building high performance, winning teams and investing in their growth. You will foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating your team to achieve shared goals.
