About The Position

The Material Control Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for efficient material handling, storage, and transportation. This role involves monitoring inventory levels, minimizing wastage and costs, and ensuring timely assembly and delivery of auto parts to meet production schedules. The specialist will also focus on process improvements, cost-effective material sourcing, and collaborating with various teams to optimize production resources and meet customer demands. Key responsibilities include creating production plans, setting up and utilizing the ERP system for production monitoring and order closing, and managing product warehousing. Additionally, the role involves tracking equipment downtime, coordinating maintenance, preparing shipping instructions, and conducting inventory reconciliation.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Operations Management) but not mandated.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in using ERP systems for materials management.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies for efficient material handling, storage, and transportation.
Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize wastage and costs.
Work with the KD assembly line, ensuring timely assembly and delivery of auto parts to meet production schedules.
Implement process improvements to enhance KD efficiency and reduce assembly time.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to streamline KD processes.
Identify opportunities to source materials more cost-effectively without compromising quality.
Work with procurement to establish relationships with reliable suppliers.
Analyze production capacity and demand to identify potential bottlenecks or constraints.
Develop strategies to optimize production resources and meet customer demands.
Create annual, monthly, and daily production plans based on annual orders and demand forecasts.
Record and monitor daily production performance in the ERP system.
Facilitate the closing of manufacturing orders and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate on a daily basis to align production plans with target production goals.
Monitor of out-of-pocket product warehousing, ensuring proper storage and inventory control.
Register production information based on the Production Operation Plan (POP).
Track equipment downtime and implement strategies to minimize disruptions.
Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure minimal impact on production.
Prepare shipping instructions and oversee the delivery process.
Monitor daily inventory levels and report any discrepancies.
Conduct monthly pay-off procedures to reconcile inventory.
