The Nuclear Material Control & Accountability (NMC&A) department is seeking a Material Control Manager to lead the planning, documentation, and implementation of programs dedicated to the protection and control of Special Nuclear Materials (SNM). This critical management position is responsible for ensuring the absolute security of SNM, overseeing a diverse network of material control systems, and resolving complex operational anomalies. The incumbent will provide strategic oversight and serve as the material control Subject Matter Expert (SME), playing a vital role in coordinating security interfaces and implementing corrective actions to safeguard high-consequence assets. This role requires deep expertise in advanced NMC&A principles and a comprehensive understanding of how physical processes, material flows, and security protocols intersect. The manager will interface with a wide range of stakeholders across the site, including production and operations management, chemical operators, accountants, protective forces, vulnerability assessment teams, and executive leadership. Key responsibilities include integrating Material Balance Area (MBA) custodians into production processes to provide real-time oversight and ensuring that all activities align with strict federal guidelines. This work is fundamental to site security and compliance, directly impacting the integrity of the facility's nuclear material control program and its operational authorization.
