About The Position

This position consists of data entry, verifying the accuracy of materials information on spool sheets and items entered into the computer system, addressing spool drawing or material issues with other departments, maintaining a filing system, copying, and scanning.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• 2-3 years of experience in pipe fabrication field
• Experience with Microsoft Office and JD Edwards
• Knowledge of piping materials (visual and descriptions)
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of others.
• Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.

Responsibilities

• Confirm accuracy of material information on spool drawings
• Input material line items into JDE system
• Release spools to production when all material line items are available
• Issue Work orders when required
• Address material shorts daily
• Check/update weight and surface area fields on spool sheets
• Maintain filing system
• Assist with material reconciliations at job closeouts
• Requisition material shorts as needed
• Update statuses in JDE as needed
