About The Position

This is a contract role for a Material Buyer Procurement / Planning Coordinator located in Colorado Springs, CO. The position has a project duration of 2+ years and offers a pay rate of $35 to $40 an hour on W2. The role involves managing the entire lifecycle of purchase orders, negotiating pricing with suppliers, establishing strong supplier relationships, and translating technical documents into actionable purchase plans. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and negotiation skills, experience in commodity management or supply chain, and proficiency in MS Office. Preferred qualifications include Oracle R12 Procurement/ERP experience and contract management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of purchase orders, from creation and delivery to invoicing and closure.
  • Keep internal partners informed on delivery status, pricing, and potential issues that might impact deliverables.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers to maximize cost savings, minimize unnecessary expenditures, and ensure new product introductions are financially viable.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration and mutual success.
  • Execute Keysight’s global supply chain strategy while integrating unique insights to meet the specific needs of internal customers.
  • Translate assembly drawings, bills of materials, and build plans into actionable and executable purchase plans.
  • Review and negotiate Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) with suppliers as necessary.
