About The Position

As a Material and Process Engineering Intern at Raytheon Technologies, you will work closely with Engineers to support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities for onboarding programs, and also support in the areas of Material analytical testing, Material selection requirement development and Process implementation feasibility analysis. In addition, you will be working cross-functionally with Material analysis Engineering team, Program Engineers, Test Engineers & Technicians, Supply Chain, Production & Quality, and Field Service Engineers. Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met. Resolves day-to-day technical problems on the production lines to minimize disruption. Conduct a wide array of material verifications for compliance with drawings, specifications, and program applications. Participates in technical preparations for new product development and implementation to ensure new products meet the required specifications. Completes drawing designs as required to facilitate the engineering process.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or related (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
  • Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Material testing instrument
  • Experience with data analysis and technical reporting
  • Experience with CAD and/or engineering drawings
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint)
