About The Position

The Material Analyst will be part of the HIMARS Global Supply Chain team, responsible for end-to-end material acquisition for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System. This role ensures the timely arrival of necessary parts to sustain HIMARS operations. The position involves managing procurement processes, coordinating with suppliers, analyzing inventory data, and supporting logistics planning. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and driven by mission impact, with the opportunity to influence a critical supply chain supporting national defense. Requirements

  • Risk Mitigation & Project management experience as it relates to Global Supply Chain
  • Working knowledge of SAP and/or Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Business Acumen, understanding of basic business principles
  • Ability to travel
  • Microsoft Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Acquisition and Procedures (LMAP)
  • Production program experience
  • S/4 Hana
  • Knowledge of AI and ML principles and their application in supply chain management

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for critical components.
  • Evaluate and qualify suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast material needs.
  • Coordinate logistics to guarantee timely delivery of parts.
  • Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for efficiency.
  • Act as the main liaison with suppliers, communicating requirements, addressing concerns, and expediting deliveries.
  • Manage purchase requisitions, work orders, and contract actions from creation to close out.
  • Track engineering revisions, material forecasts, and inventory levels to prevent gaps.
  • Report key supply chain metrics, risk assessments, and strategic improvement ideas to senior stakeholders.
  • Monitor supplier performance, conduct corrective action follow up, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with logistics, quality, and program teams to resolve delivery and compliance issues.
  • Support travel and on-site visits when needed to strengthen supplier relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records in enterprise systems and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
