About The Position

The Horsham Clinic is on the lookout for a dynamic, compassionate, and flexible Masters Level Adolescent Social Worker. The Social Worker provides clinical social work services on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of The Horsham Clinic and the NASW. The Social Worker is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, and discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital. The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program Social Worker's essential duties are to provide direct care under the supervision of a Program Coordinator, Attending Psychiatrist, or designee. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, activities of daily living and communication with referral sources and families. The Horsham Clinic is a 206-bed, private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus in Montgomery County. We are minutes from Philadelphia and serve patients and families from Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The Horsham Clinic provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. In addition to our main campus in Ambler, we have two satellite partial hospitalization programs in Chester County and Delaware County. Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work required
  • 3-5 years prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population required
  • Knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management
  • Flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient hospital setting.
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication

  • LSW/LCSW/LPC/LMFT - Preferred (not required)
  • Inpatient psychiatric population experience preferred
