About The Position
The General Motors Transmission Technician at Neil Huffman GMC is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing transmission systems in General Motors vehicles. This role is for a Master Transmission Technician to work in a fast-paced work environment within a growing service department at a family-owned dealership that has been in business for 55 years.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a transmission technician or in a similar role
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing transmission systems in General Motors vehicles
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Responsibilities
- Performing diagnostic tests to identify transmission issues
- Repairing or replacing faulty transmission components
- Performing routine maintenance on transmission systems
- Documenting all services performed and maintaining accurate records
- Communicating with customers regarding the status of their vehicles
- Collaborating with the service department to ensure efficient workflow
