As a Master Technician, you’ll be part of our Professional Tools New Product Development team working as a hybrid employee.

Requirements

  • Ability to consult and advise teams for decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Advanced ability to navigate complex and ambiguous test requirements from Design Engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated competence in project planning, scheduling, and tracking.
  • In-depth product and user knowledge relevant to Stanley Black & Decker’s portfolio.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD, diagnostics, and electrical/mechanical design.
  • Strong mentoring skills and ability to develop technical talent.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with tact and diplomacy to exchange ideas effectively.
  • Proven ability to influence others to achieve shared goals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical tests, analyze results, and provide actionable design advice to engineering teams.
  • Monitor Engineering data against established performance targets, identify trends, and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technical and process advancements; champion the adoption of state-of-the-art practices across the organization.
  • Provide technical consultation to Engineering Support team members, allied teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide other Technicians on best practices.
  • Lead and schedule meetings, facilitate productive exchanges of ideas, and deliver frequent presentations to internal and external partners.
  • Resolve complex problems, implement effective solutions, and establish new techniques to help teams meet objectives.
  • Document, capture, and share technical knowledge and solutions across teams.
