About The Position

Master Teacher 1, Master Teacher 2, and Master Teacher 3 are current students in the Master Teacher Certification Program. To become a part of our Master Teacher 1 group, each candidate must go through a careful selection process with their District Managers and are nominated to participate in the Master Teacher Certification Program. During the 9-Month program Master Teacher candidates' complete coursework on their own time from home and meet weekly deadlines as they learn, grow, and develop into a coach, mentor, and role model for their peers. Master Teacher candidates earn a pay increase upon completion of each level of the program.

Requirements

• Must hold a CURRENT Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA), Associate or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Elementary Education, or equivalent.
• Performance Review score of successful or higher.
• At least 2 years of early childhood experience
• Works daily in an Infant, Toddler, Two’s, Early Preschool, Preschool, or Pre-K classroom
• Employed with Learning Care Group for at least 90 days prior to the program start date.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines and company standards.
• Acts as a learning accelerator by supporting the development of existing teachers to improve program quality within the school.
• Serve as a resource in educational programming, developmentally appropriate practice, and behavior guidance and help school management train new hires.
• Practices respectful communication and maintain productive relationships with their peers and families they serve.
• Participate in a two-week practicum in a peer’s classroom
