Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in full suite of MS Office and ERP/MRP systems
  • Five (5) years of related work experience, including at least three (3) plus years of related experience as Material Planner, Production Planner, Material Handler, or equivalent
  • Strong analytical, project management, computer, communication, and writing skills (typing, spelling, grammar)
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks without input/guidance from manager
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse co-workers and personalities in engineering, production, and management; ability to have insight into their changing needs
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal; ability to express ideas clearly and actively listen to others
  • Team oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlines
  • Excellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and collaborative skills with the ability to prioritize efficiently and effectively within and across departments
  • Perfectionist mindset, very high attention to detail, and a passion for cars
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/relevant field preferred
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Experience in the aerospace or automotive industries and/or a fast-paced-high growth environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise production scheduling to ensure department goals are achieved and production deadlines are met on time and within budget
  • Use extensive knowledge of the production process to design and implement the production schedule plan considering all aspects of production including cost, timeliness, and effectiveness
  • Work cross-departmentally with Material Operations and production teams to review relevant factors impacting production schedules, improve processes, and resolve issues
  • Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to scheduling, conducting reviews, maintaining accurate reports to finance on actuals and plan
  • Implement best-practices for production scheduling across US Operations and alignment with UK operations
  • Be responsible for tracking and reporting vehicle and sub assembly production status
  • Be accountable for vehicle and sub assembly on-time delivery
  • Act as liaison with Sales team for priority alignment and accurate units production status reporting
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the rest of the Production Scheduling Team and Production Leads regarding the production schedule and status, tracking live status
  • Serve as a role model, facilitating effective communication practices throughout the team and embodying the value of, “Everything is Important.”
  • Ensure the ERP/MRP/MES system accurately reflects the correct production plan and status of vehicles and sub-assemblies
  • Publish an accurate production schedule forecast
  • Ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly reporting accurately represents the production status
  • Work to resolve/escalate any issues blocking progress on achieving the production schedule in a timely manner
  • Foster a team environment across the functions involved in achieving the production schedule
