This Master Scheduler role, located at our Mission, TX facility, reports to the Director of Planning and is a crucial leadership position in plant-level supply chain operations.

Requirements

  • Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish
  • BA/BS Degree In Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering is preferred
  • Equivalent career experience is acceptable if no degree is held
  • 3-5 years minimum in Supply Chain (Materials Management, Inventory management, demand planning, supply planning, procurement, SIOP.)
  • Critical thinker with strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Process-minded and continuous improvement focused
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate alternative solutions to meet business needs
  • Ability to work in matrix environments, drive change and influence business stakeholders
  • Collaborative skills and ability to work in a multi-site virtual work environment telling the story with data
  • Great communication, interpersonal skills, and team player mentality
  • Provide instructions and directions to colleagues in the planning and procurement organization and other functional areas and/or regions.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope; must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Proficient in production planning, production scheduling, and shop floor control.

Responsibilities

  • Hold a crucial leadership role in plant-level supply chain operations, contributing significantly to overall planning, scheduling, purchasing, execution, inventory management, and ERP planning systems processes.
  • Manage the master production schedule and rough cut capacity plan for both internal and external manufacturing sites optimizing production, considering customer and forecast demand, production capacities, material availability, and resource requirements.
  • Addressing production issues, risks, and proposing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with S&OP teams, including Sr Demand Planners to create and maintain a capacity requirements plan that supports orders anticipated for medium and long term plans.
  • Be a vital stakeholder and participant in all S&OP and S&OE meetings required from plant perspective.
  • Work independently under your own initiative with personal ownership for the results.
  • Bring extreme ownership and coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and production to facilitate changes, ensuring appropriate configuration and communication of material requirements.
  • Steward core manufacturing data to ensure that accurate information is used across the supply chain.
  • Maintain replenishment signals within the ERP system for manufactured items to assure a smooth flow of materials and enable operational efficiency.
  • Be data driven and analyze trends and KPI’s that provide insight into opportunities where we can be better tomorrow than today.
  • Incorporate findings and take action so that we effectively serve our stakeholders with the best information at the lead times to make solid decisions.
  • Manage schedule attainment, establish, and maintain a production schedule process which results in an achievable plan that optimizes productivity, minimizes inventory, and maximizes customer service.
  • Coordinate for production schedules to be published weekly and updated daily.
  • Effectively communicate using data with all levels of the organization: shop floor to the plant leadership.
  • Work with Production Managers on scheduling, capacity requirements planning, and providing input to management regarding delays in materials deliveries and/or production schedules.
  • Operate with excellence, prepare run out analysis, coordinate and lead scheduling attainment activities and interaction with all functional areas to root cause to improve KPI, and also support the drive of plant improvements for delivery metrics, including Customer On-time Delivery metrics (CRSD – Customer Request Shipment Date, SSD – Schedule Ship / Promise Date, and Lead-time.)
  • Performing advanced business analytics and analysis to derive actionable insights and recommendations related to production planning, safety stock, and inventory management evaluating runouts for discontinued items and coordinating an exit strategy with Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Management, and Procurement.
  • Coordinate with Supplier Scheduling, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering to assure that materials are on site in a timely manner to facilitate speedy and accurate parts availability to meet customer demands.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and inventory movement of all outside processing inventory locations.
