About The Position

TentCraft is seeking a Master Scheduler responsible for balancing and merging the Demand Plan (Sales) with the Supply Plan (Production). This role involves creating and managing all production schedules to meet customer requirements while maintaining department-specific capacity levels. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured environment where staying within Department Capacity parameters is crucial. This position requires a puzzle-loving, rule-following individual who can transform numerous small pieces into a cohesive masterpiece.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the overall factory schedule as it pertains to Work Orders and Shipment Plans, balancing the capacity plans from the Print, Sewing Fabrication, Metal Fabrication, Frame Tent Fabrication, and Final Inspection departments.
  • Collaborating with Client Service Representatives to slot new Work Orders into succession, properly prioritizing (and re-prioritizing!) the production queues.
  • Arranging existing Work Orders in the production queues when necessary.
  • Processing re-worked jobs to ensure they are correctly routed back into the production process.
  • Optimizing the production schedule using lead times and capacity plans.
  • Scheduling and coordinating dedicated freight for customer shipments, considering lead times, capacity plans, and carrier transit times to meet customer In Hand Dates.
  • Working with Client Services, Carriers, and the Supply Chain Department on logistics-related needs and issues (e.g., Delivery Exceptions, Shipping Estimates, Reconsignment of Freight).
  • Maintaining lead times and capacity requirements in alignment with all TentCraft and Customer order needs.
  • Planning and implementing Capacity Splits on customer orders.
  • Communicating with the VP of Manufacturing regarding hard and soft constraint levels in the factory to aid in decision-making for new machines, employees, etc.
