The Master's Social Worker for Pediatric Partial/IOP reports to the Program Coordinator. This role is responsible for providing individual, group, and family psychotherapeutic treatment to patients and their families. The position involves a wide variety of direct social worker services in an outpatient psychiatric setting for a complex caseload of patients, including psychological assessment, active treatment, discharge planning, case management, and related documentation in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary treatment team. The Master's Social Worker will provide therapy, case management services, and linkages to community agencies to meet patients' social and emotional needs. This includes identifying and assessing client/patient cases, anticipating needs related to illness, hospitalization, finances, education, and home or community services, and serving as a liaison between healthcare facilities, community resources, and government agencies. The role involves providing individual and group therapy to children and adolescent patients in an outpatient community psychiatry treatment clinic within an academic medical center. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, families, and other providers to assess the patient's level of functioning, strengths, deficits, and emotional status, developing a comprehensive picture of the patient’s treatment needs, and serving as a member of the treatment team in diagnostic evaluation and identification of treatment objectives. Specific duties include providing evidenced-based treatment for patients at CDT, offering group, Family-Based Treatment, and individual treatment, providing therapeutic support, developing treatment plans, monitoring and documenting progress, and facilitating discharge planning to meet compliance and billing requirements and ensure successful return to community resources. Program therapists work within a multidisciplinary team of therapists, medical providers, and families to ensure comprehensive treatment and participate in weekly clinical team meetings.
