About The Position

JRI's Children's Friend and Family Services division is committed to assisting families and their children who are dealing with substantial behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges. Our mission is to ensure they can access the vital services necessary for them to flourish at home, in school, and within their communities. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling from an accredited college or university required.
  • Clinical licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, LMFT) or able to sit for clinical licensure required.
  • Must have clinical experience with children and adolescents required.
  • Ability to create and implement treatment or service plans that reflect a thorough understanding of the client’s cultural background.
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop therapeutic relationships with individuals from various backgrounds, encompassing different racial, ethnic, linguistic, religious, and sexual orientation identities.
  • Open to maintaining a flexible work schedule and participate in an on-call schedule.
  • Proficiency in or the capacity to learn electronic medical record software, along with fundamental computer skills, including the Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to learn the needs of the youth under our care and their families; a willingness to offer a variety of interventions and treatments required by this population.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with trauma informed models of treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person outpatient therapy to children and adults, including telehealth.
  • Help individuals achieve their best selves in their homes and communities.
  • Work with clients of diverse diagnostic profiles and explore suitable treatment modalities (individual, couples, or family therapy).
  • Deliver culturally competent, trauma-informed, and confidential clinical services focused on client needs.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to develop effective strategies for client support, engage in treatment, and attend case conferences and discharge meetings.
