Children’s Home Society of South Dakota is seeking a Master's Level Intern to provide individual and group therapy to children, adults, and families within CHS programs (Residential, Day School and Outpatient Services). Requirements

Bachelor's degree required
Currently enrolled in a Master's program working towards a counseling or social work degree.
The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Must successfully complete all required background and pre-employment checks EEO/AA.

Responsibilities

Provide evidence-based practices for delivering therapy to children, adults and families including case management, through individual sessions, group therapy, milieu treatment for clients within CHS programs.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clients progress, treatment plans and clinical notes in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
Develop individualized Master Treatment Plans, prepare Quarterly Treatment Plan reviews and Discharge Summaries with treatment team.
Maintain communication and work in cooperation with referral agencies.
Help support discharge planning by finding community resources, identifying outpatient services, making referrals, and preparing recommendations for ongoing care.
Provide supervision and management of children as necessary.
Attend required annual training.
Participate in clinical supervision and peer consultation to enhance professional development and ensure best practices.
