About The Position

This is a paid Master's level internship opportunity within the Community Services Department, ideal for students in a mental health-related field. The internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in various therapeutic settings, including In-Home Therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and outpatient therapy. Services can be delivered in person (clinic, home, school, community-based settings) or via telehealth. Interns will work under the supervision of an independently licensed Director, gaining exposure to essential clinical practices such as insurance authorization, clinical documentation, diagnosis, treatment planning, evidence-based interventions, safety/risk management, care coordination, case management, medication knowledge, state agencies, and HIPAA standards. The role offers a chance to work with a diverse client population, utilize different clinical modalities, and be part of a supportive team. The schedule is flexible, accommodating both the intern's and client's availability.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a second-year Master’s level program in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or related field.
  • Ability to complete a nine month long (or longer) internship.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Daily access to a working, registered and insured vehicle.
  • Access to personal computer and cell phone.
  • Knowledge of basic computer systems.
  • Understanding of the internet.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation.
  • Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation.

  • Licensure not required but encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Provide In-Home Therapy for families.
