About The Position

The Master Plumber assists the professional staff in repairing, maintaining, and installing all Washington Health System plumbing and pipefitting in accordance with plumbing codes. The Master Plumber is responsible for meeting and maintaining established medical, plumbing, and building code protocols.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Maintains current Master Plumbers Registration acceptable to Washington County Division of Permits and Licensing.
Master Plumbers License acceptable to Washington County Division of Permits and Licensing
Journeyman License with a minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial plumbing required and must receive their ASSE 6030 or ASSE 6040 certified AND backflow Preventer Certified within 12 months of starting in the role. If individual fails to pass the second attempt at the exam, the individual will have three (3) months to transfer to other open positions for which the individual is qualified.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Master Plumber License.
No Tier-D Violations/Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

Accountable and responsible for plumbing services, installations, and repairs under the supervision of the Chief Operating Engineer.
Accurately reports information to members of the department team and other members of Washington Health System in order that they may intervene to provide adequate and appropriate care.
Adheres to the Washington Performance System, and complies with all external regulatory and accrediting bodies while ensuring safety of patients/families, visitors, and staff.
Approaches and solves problems while considering all relevant facts to the issue with an outcome of a timely, good decision.
