Master Plumber (License Holder & Field Leader)
About The Position
Woodstock Heating, Cooling & Electrical, an established, premier home services provider with over 50 years of trusted excellence, is seeking a top-grade Master Plumber for our location in Woodstock, Illinois. This is a high-level, dual-purpose role designed for an elite tradesperson who wants to stay active in the field while taking on key business and licensing responsibilities. We are looking for a working license holder who will spend approximately 60% of their time performing expert field service work and 20–30% of their time handling office operations, technical leadership, and administrative workflows.
Requirements
- Must possess an active active Illinois Plumbing License / Contractor Registration (required).
- Proven track record as a Master Plumber, senior field supervisor, or plumbing service leader.
- A strong desire to remain actively working in the field while handling necessary office and business responsibilities.
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with plumbing industry dispatch software is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative technical leadership style.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and utilize your active Illinois Plumbing License for company business compliance and operational requirements.
- Work actively in the field to perform top-tier plumbing diagnostics, repairs, and installations, directly contributing to company revenue.
- Assist with office workflows, including reviewing site field reports, optimizing schedules, and providing technical support for dispatch workflows.
- Utilize master-level plumbing knowledge to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide field training, coaching, and safety oversight to technicians.
- Address high-level customer inquiries and resolve complex complaints to maintain our top-tier service reputation.
- Enforce industry regulations, local plumbing codes, safety standards, and company policies across all job sites.
