About The Position

This is a full-time, third shift position working 7pm-7am on a 12-hour shift rotation that requires working every other weekend. The role is located at the Eaton Container facility in Eaton, OH. The Master Mechanic/Electrician 1 will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing programmable controllers, A/C and D/C drives, and their control systems. A key aspect of the role is to maximize equipment utilization by ensuring machinery runs at available capacity and speed. The position also involves following up on work orders, ensuring repairs are performed correctly and entered into the maintenance software, and planning and scheduling maintenance work. Compliance with all company policies, including safety and housekeeping, is mandatory.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
Experience in a corrugated facility is strongly preferred.
Must demonstrate proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, motor controls & drives, mechanical power transmissions, welding & metal fabrication, pneumatic & hydraulic troubleshooting & repair, lift truck safety and PC literacy.
Must successfully complete a maintenance test, drug screening, and background /employment verification.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot programmable controllers and A/C and D/C drives. Make necessary repairs to drives and their control system use.
Maximum the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
Follow-up all work orders to ensure repairs and work are preformed properly and entered into the maintenance software program.
Plan and schedule maintenance work.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
