Our Defense division in Salt Lake City, UT is looking to welcome a skilled Master Maintenance Technician to our dynamic team! This Master Maintenance Technician will be an electrical expert, reporting to the Facilities Manager and play a critical role in ensuring facilities/manufacturing systems and equipment are running optimally.

Requirements

HS Diploma/GED is required
Licensed Journeyman Electrician or at least 7+ years’ experience in a maintenance related role within a complex manufacturing environment
Ability to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Nice To Haves

additional education/training from a 2-year vocational/technical school is desired
Ideally has prior experience with PLC’s and maintaining access/security/fire alarm systems

Responsibilities

Maintains equipment and performs preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled.
Read schematics (including electrical, pneumatic, and chemical drawings) and troubleshoot/repair complex industrial mechanical and electrical equipment.
Installs and repairs of electrical apparatus such as transformers and wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment; Connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses.
Overhauls machines or equipment, replaces/repairs defective parts, machine components and motors, and make adjustments as required.
Cleans and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
Clears clogged drains and replaces plumbing fixtures; Install plumbing for industrial systems.
Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
Program or monitor PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
Maintains access control, security and fire alarm systems
