About The Position

MSSU is seeking candidates for a Master Instructor Position in the Department of Language and Literature starting August 2027 in Joplin, Missouri. Successful candidates should be prepared to teach English courses. Master instructors are responsible for 15 credits of instruction in fall and spring semesters, the majority of which will be first-year composition. Specialization is open. The position requires a demonstrated commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level.
