About The Position

Prov is hiring a part-time Cosmetology Test Examiner in Pasco, Washington, to oversee cosmetology exams. The role is open to a Washington-licensed Master Esthetician or nail technician with industry knowledge. Examiners provide clear verbal instructions, maintain exam integrity, monitor the testing environment, and ensure candidates follow examination protocols established by the National Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology (NIC). The role requires avoiding prohibited communication with examiners or candidates and providing candidates with a positive and fair testing experience. The position offers flexible hours, work 1–2 days per week, pay of $22 per hour, and annual profit sharing. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening.

Requirements

Be licensed in Washington State as a Master Esthetician or nail technician and have industry knowledge.
Have strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Be comfortable using technology and business software.
Handle confidential information with discretion.
Be able to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Have strong attention to detail and accurately evaluate candidate performance.
Apply examination standards and scoring guidelines consistently, fairly, and objectively.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills, including accurate documentation.
Remain calm, professional, and impartial when handling challenging situations.
Demonstrate reliability, integrity, and accountability while maintaining exam security and confidentiality.
Not work at, speak at, visit, or receive services from an industry-related school, and not evaluate anyone known personally or professionally.
Successfully complete the required background screening.
