Requirements

  • Possess a valid Master Electrician license.
  • at least 10 years of electrical experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and electronic/electrical diagrams.
  • Good math skills relating to electrical specification formulas.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently as necessary.
  • Possess a valid driver license for the state in which employed.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers.
  • Possess a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work variable and flexible hours, and overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors; be able to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation, bend, crawl, stoop, climb ladders and work in a variety of physical conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute plans for electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, in accordance with job specifications and local codes.
  • Direct and oversee the work of subcontractors.
  • Provide training and oversee the work of junior Electricians and Apprentices.
  • Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing and diagnosing electrical issues in a light commercial environment.
  • Performing proper inspections of electrical systems to prevent future electrical service issues.
  • Installing and replacing electrical panels, circuit breakers, control systems and branch circuit wiring.
  • Installing and replacing electrical service equipment, including main service disconnects, up to 600 Amps.
  • Troubleshooting commercial electrical equipment and circuits, including GFCI's, open circuits and short circuits.
  • Must be willing to learn sound systems, audio visual and automation systems, including low voltage lighting controls and controls.
  • Ability to apply NEC Code knowledge for a proper and safe electrical installation.
  • Ensures job sites are properly cleaned after jobs are completed, including packing all materials and tools and disposing of trash.
