About The Position

The Master Electrician is a highly skilled professional responsible for overseeing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs. This role requires extensive experience and expertise in electrical systems, codes, and regulations. The Master Electrician manages teams of electricians, ensures compliance with safety standards, and leads electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard in accordance to industry, federal, and DOS regulations.

Requirements

Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in the Commercial Facilities/ Operation and Maintenance Arena.
A Master Electrical License is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States are required.

Nice To Haves

Active Secret or Top-Secret clearance preferred.
Maximo CMMS Experience a plus, but not required.
Microsoft Computer skills (Office, Word, Outlook etc.) a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Performs all electrical trade functions necessary to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair lighting and electrical systems safely and within the guidelines of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Maintain professionalism when interacting with peer and supervisory employees, and customer representatives.
Must be well versed in the use of many and varied types of test equipment such as voltmeters, amprobes, meggers, etc., and must possess outstanding eye-hand coordination.
Inspects completed work for conformance to standards.
Sourcing or fabricating replacement electrical components.
Possess excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
Updating project records and preparing relevant documents and reports for clients.
Liaising with clients, vendors, and suppliers.
Other duties as assigned.
