About The Position

Generator Supercenter is seeking a licensed Master Electrician to lead electrical installations for its residential generator business in West Springfield, Massachusetts. The role focuses on installing and servicing standby generators and automatic transfer switches while ensuring work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety policies. The Master Electrician will also supervise and mentor electricians and apprentices, troubleshoot electrical issues, and maintain project documentation. The position is full-time and offers competitive pay based on licensure and experience.

Requirements

Valid Master Electrician license in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Proven experience as a Master Electrician or in a similar senior electrical role.
Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, wiring methods, and generator installation.
Ability to train, manage, and lead electricians and apprentices.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various environments, including outdoors and confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

Experience installing Generac, Kohler, or other standby generator systems.
Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
Familiarity with trenching, conduit bending, and service panel upgrades.

Responsibilities

Oversee and complete the installation of standby generators and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
Ensure electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and state and local regulations.
Supervise and mentor electricians and apprentices on job sites.
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project plans.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during and after installation.
Promote a safety-first culture and ensure work follows company safety policies.
Maintain accurate documentation and job records.
