About The Position

Reliance is seeking a Master Electrician to join their team. This role involves diagnosing and repairing electrical problems in domestic systems, including fault-finding, panel changes, generator installation, knob and tube removal, and home rewiring. The Master Electrician will also be responsible for estimating repair costs, ensuring repairs are done correctly the first time, and maintaining value-added communication with homeowners. The position requires setting priorities to meet deadlines, performing diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, servicing, and installations according to manufacturer specifications, and adhering to all safety rules and procedures. Additionally, the role involves performing equipment inspections, educating customers on electrical work in homes, and staying up-to-date with modern equipment and regulations. The Master Electrician will also explain the value of Reliance products, services, and programs to customers.

Requirements

  • Certified Electrician and hold the 309A License
  • 5+ years’ experience as an Electrician
  • Registered with the Ontario College of Trades
  • Driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
  • Physically capable of performing all work required of this position
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems in domestic electrical systems, including but is not limited to fault-finding, panel changes, generator installation, knob and tube removal, home rewiring etc.
  • Accurately estimate repair costs, fixed right the first time and continual value-added communication with the homeowner
  • Set priorities and work assignments to meet established deadlines
  • Perform diagnostics, repair, maintain, service and install equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Perform general and specific equipment inspections
  • Educate customers on electrical work in homes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations
  • Explain the value of Reliance products, services and programs on every call
