PEMCCO is seeking a Master Electrician to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve electrical systems and equipment supporting transportation operations. This role is ideal for a highly skilled electrical professional with experience working on power distribution systems, electrical controls, field equipment, and electrical infrastructure in demanding operational environments. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current Master Electrician license.
  • Minimum of two years of field experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems up to and including 480 VAC three-phase systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical theory, methods, materials, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with transportation, roadway, traffic monitoring, or traffic control systems.
  • Experience working in industrial, utility, municipal, or infrastructure environments.
  • Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Experience operating bucket trucks and working at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain electrical wiring systems and electrical components in accordance with the National Electrical Code and industry standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Diagnose electrical failures and determine appropriate repair solutions.
  • Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify deficiencies, safety concerns, and maintenance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, isolate, test, and repair electrical malfunctions using specialized testing equipment.
  • Assemble, install, maintain, and repair electrical apparatus and related systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical load centers and distribution systems.
  • Plan layouts and wiring for new or existing electrical installations.
  • Fabricate electrical components and inspect completed work for quality and code compliance.
  • Estimate labor, materials, and project costs for electrical work.
  • Evaluate contractor work and verify compliance with specifications and safety requirements.
  • Maintain and service tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Support traffic monitoring and control system operations as needed.
  • Respond safely and effectively during emergency situations and system outages.
