About The Position

As a Master Data Specialist, you’ll be part of our East Longmeadow, MA team working as an on-site employee. You’ll be responsible for administering plant-level engineering changes and updating the manufacturing ERP system (SAP) to accommodate those changes. This role requires interaction with multiple functions within a manufacturing environment to establish and implement master data critical to the day-to-day running of the business. You will be a hands-on expert in SAP and proficient with SAP functions such as creating Material Masters, changing/extending/obsoleting part numbers using Change Masters, creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Alternate BOMs, calculating BOM quantities, maintaining BOM yields per instructions from Finance, creating and maintaining BOMs for OSP/SUBC, creating and maintaining Production Versions (PVs), creating and maintaining Routes as well as alternate routes, working with finance and manufacturing engineering to establish and maintain work centers, managing part discontinuation (NOD), maintaining documents to support the building of parts and BOMs, maintaining documents to support SAP process rates, monitoring plant-level “Temporary Change” documents for potential changes to processes and process rates, and working with Manufacturing Engineers to conduct audits on processes to capture changed process rates. You will also administer plant-level Engineering Changes (LECNs) for the East Longmeadow (ELM) plant, which control ANY plant-level changes made to the product or process. LECNs are initiated by product changes that arise from a SBD Corporate Change Notice (CN) or any other product or process change that is initiated by a Product Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Product Manager via the plant-level Engineering Change Request (LECR) system.
