About The Position

The Master Data Management Analyst will be responsible for the proper configuration, setup, organization, and creation of SAP Master Materials Records (MMR) for planning, procurement, use, and control according to company needs and customer requirements. The position will oversee the organization and classification of bill of materials, operation routings, product hierarchy, MRP parameters, and other relevant classifications. The Master Data Management Analyst (MDM Analyst) will also focus on setting up, creating, maintaining, updating, and organizing the master material records by collaborating with all applicable parties for the proper Product Lifecycle Management (75%). With an emphasis on supporting production requirements, quicker new product launches, elimination, and control of duplicate records, this role will need to engage with other G+D sites and material central teams. Additionally, the role proactively supports stakeholder requests, conducts system and data analysis, produces monthly and ad-hoc reports, and provides KPIs using SAP/BW tools (25%).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 1+ years of SAP Master Data management required.
  • Advanced Excel and database building/navigating skills.
  • 3+ years of SAP / BW data analytics experience is required.
  • Previous Power BI is required.
  • Methodic, precise person.
  • Able to manage large sets of data.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively operate in any organizational structure and interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately.

  • Programming (SQL) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Configuration, setup, organization, creation, and maintenance of systems’ Master Data for materials, planning, production (including Bill of Materials and Routings), for warehousing and shipping.
  • Active role in Design Review (DSR) meetings to ensure proper Sales Order Configuration setup.
  • Creation of fix materials for products not supported by product catalogs.
  • Verifying accuracy of MMR with regard to sales orders and applicable production orders.
  • Troubleshooting issues with materials, configurations, orders, etc.
  • Transacting proper material introduction into SAP thru ProPLMClient from ProNovia.
  • Managing access and roles to systems & applications (Authorizations), e.g. SAP ECC.
  • Foreseeing necessary changes for variant configuration objects to adapt them better to business needs and requesting them from central.
  • Supporting production requirements, quicker new product launches, elimination, and control of duplicate records.
  • Supporting the introduction of new systems, especially in data consistency and testing.
  • Supporting the creation and distribution of reports as required.
  • Documenting SAP processes related to Master Data.
  • Developing and delivering clear, concise, and effective end-user training and associated training materials.
  • Partnering with department managers to fully understand user functionality, pain points, and areas with opportunity for improvement.
  • Providing training and extensive support to end-users, ensuring optimal utilization of implemented SAP and other systems’ functionalities.
  • Preparing reports or delivering presentations about recommended approaches (or modifications), including creation of proposals to change current SAP ePayments template and specifying benefit evaluation.
  • Deployment of approved changes & functionalities in the organization.
  • Collaborating with Finance for costing related topics.
  • Assurance of local process adherence according to the established “template”.
  • Continuing to learn and develop technical SAP and business expertise.
  • Establishing and maintaining a North American key user community (US and Canada) and fostering exchange with other global key user communities.
  • Partnering with line-of-business on projects and ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Identifying requirements, resources, and timeline for implementation.
  • Developing, creating, and training on the use of organizational data reports as required.
  • Verifying accuracy of multiple sources of historical and forecasted data with regard to purchase orders, production orders, sales orders, and sales force information.
  • Continuing to learn and develop technical SAP, BW, and data analytics expertise.
