About The Position

The Master Batch Lead Operator is responsible for following all safety rules, accurately weighing and measuring ingredients, maintaining paperwork, operating various equipment, and ensuring a clean work area. This role involves tending to accessory equipment, performing set-ups and sanitation, and adhering to the company's recycling guidelines and environmental management systems policy. The position requires strong problem-solving, customer service, planning, organizational, and quality control skills. The operator must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, meet productivity standards, adapt to a changing work environment, and work independently. Dependability, adherence to safety procedures, and effective communication are crucial. The role also involves calculating figures and amounts, and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • MUST be willing to work 12-hour shifts (training M-F 7a-4p and once training is completed, will work Sunday-Thursday 7p-7a)
  • MUST have 3-5 years in a manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Safety Rules for Department and Entire Facility.
  • Accurately weigh and measure ingredients for use in original formulas as well as blend.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork of the quantities of pigments added to batches.
  • Operate an extruder, vacuum assisted blender, digital scales, pallet lift, and mixer.
  • Read work orders or other instructions to determine material requirements.
  • Collect samples for laboratory testing.
  • Tend to accessory equipment, such as extruders, pumps, mixers and conveyors to move material through the production process.
  • Operate a clean, well ordered master batch area, as well as equipment, during all hours of operations.
  • General housekeeping as needed.
  • Perform set up, sanitation and operation of the assigned area.
  • Be aware of Aquafil's Recycling Guidelines and Environmental Management Systems Policy.
