About The Position

Bakers are responsible for making a variety of breads, pies, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and pastries. This role involves measuring ingredients, making and shaping dough, managing the baking process, and sometimes decorating the product. The Master Baker will oversee the bread counter daily to determine production needs, ensure ingredients are kept fresh, and monitor bakery productivity to ensure compliance with quality standards. This position also involves tracking inventory, ordering supplies from the Store Manager, and receiving merchandise from suppliers. Additionally, the Master Baker will coordinate department activities and employees' work, maintain a sanitary, clean, and organized workstation, and ensure compliance with all food safety standards, including food handling and machinery operation. Understanding how to use a variety of bakery equipment, such as knives, pots and pans, ovens, and mixers, is essential. Pay rate is based on the level of skill and experience.
