About The Position

The role of the Master ASE Certified Mechanic Automotive is to be responsible for the maintenance of school district's motor vehicles, including buses, trucks, and vans.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate of Applied Science Automotive Technology
• Master ASE Certification
• Experience in gas and diesel buses
• Dependable and cooperative
• Qualified bus driver
• CDL License
• Ability to pass alcohol and drug test
• Acceptable driving record
• Region One ESC certification for bus drivers

Nice To Haves

• Additional certification in diesel, brakes, electrical, air conditioning etc., preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains the school district's motor vehicles in good operating condition.
• Notifies supervisor immediately of any mechanical condition, which is dangerous to the operation of the vehicle.
• Observes safety standards in performing duties.
• Assist Head Mechanic in training of shop personnel.
• Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures.
• Assist with quarterly inventories.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
