Massage Therapist (Part Time)
About The Position
This is a part-time position for a Massage Therapist. The role involves applying scientific massage techniques for relaxation, relieving headaches and conditions caused by nervous system dysfunction, stimulating the circulatory system, and releasing muscle tightness. The therapist will also work with complementary agents like heat and aromatherapy, and will be responsible for opening and closing procedures. A requirement is the ability to wear a face mask while on duty. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and duties may change.
Requirements
- Must be able to wear face mask while on duty.
Responsibilities
- Applies the techniques of scientific massage to assist in the art of relaxation.
- Applies massage to relieve various headaches and other conditions caused by poor functioning of the nervous system.
- Stimulates the circulatory system.
- Provides release of muscle tightness caused by stress and shortens recovery time for injuries.
- Works with various agents to complement massage, including but not limited to the application of heat aromatherapy.
- Conduct opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Must be able to wear face mask while on duty.
- Other duties as assigned.
