About The Position

HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, is a provider of fitness solutions that engage and connect people on-site and online. The Massage Therapist will work at a client site in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on a fill-in/as-needed basis, administering professional massage services to members and guests. Services may take place in a spa-like environment within a fitness center or through chair massage in a corporate setting, including incidental travel and setup and teardown. The therapist will contribute as an active member of an integrated health and wellness team and support department-wide events and strategies. Compensation is commission-based; the final wage offer depends on factors including location, qualifications, experience, and skill set.

Requirements

Hold a Massage Therapy License for the state of Massachusetts.
Hold current Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute.
Have at least 2 years of massage therapy experience within the first 30 days of hire.
Be able to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems.
Have experience in sports massage techniques.
Have good listening and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Administer professional massage services to a wide variety of members and guests.
Perform multiple massage modalities and adapt service delivery to each customer's needs.
Understand body treatments and learn the products and services provided.
Provide on-site chair massage in a corporate setting, including incidental travel, setup, and teardown, as well as massage in a spa-like fitness-center environment.
Participate as an active member of an integrated health and wellness team.
Support department-wide events and strategies.
