The Massage Therapist administers therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities, including deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, stretching, pregnancy/post-partum massage, acupressure, reflexology and hydro-therapy. This is a PRN role. A caregiver in this position will work between 8:00am and 5:00pm and will be covering all areas of Northeast Ohio down to Akron. Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent plus Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program.
• Licensed in Massage Therapy (LMT) by the State of Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
• For Hospice staff only: Valid Ohio Driver’s License upon hire; per policy 8-175 thereafter.
• For Hospice staff only: Proof of automobile insurance coverage with $100,000/$300,000 upon hire; per policy 8-175 thereafter.
• One year of experience providing massage services or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic massage and bodywork modalities, including deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point, stretching, pregnancy/post-partum massage, acupressure, reflexology, and hydrotherapy.
• Interview patient to determine medical history, condition, desired results, and appropriate modality.
• Apply selected modality, focusing on areas of discomfort.
• Monitor patient's responses to treatment and adjust, changes, or terminates treatment based on feedback.
• Document patient information, interview responses, treatments, feedback, and results.
• Maintain therapy area in a clean, safe, sterile, and Organizational state.
• Order supplies, as necessary.
