About The Position

The Massage Therapist provides the highest level of massage service to clients at Chelsea Wellness Center, a facility managed by Power Wellness Management. The role includes delivering massage services, supporting spa sales and promotion, maintaining the massage room and related supplies, and assisting with appointments and phone coverage as needed. The therapist must provide positive, service-oriented interactions and be flexible in accommodating center hours, work schedules, and appointment needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy school.
CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire; certification is provided by Power Wellness.
Meet specific state requirements for certifications and/or licensure.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with members in a positive, service-based manner.
Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college.
At least 2 years of experience working in a spa setting.

Responsibilities

Provide various types of massage to clients.
Ensure appointments start and finish on time.
Provide demonstration massages to attract clients and demonstrate skills at the center and at client and community events.
Maintain working knowledge of spa services and products and assist with sales.
Assist with marketing and promotion of spa services, including suggesting monthly spa promotions.
Maintain a clean and orderly massage room.
Provide attendant coverage, answer phones, and make appointments as needed.
Maintain and assist with monthly inventory of supplies, products, and equipment.
Know and practice proper safety and sanitation procedures.
Use core business software proficiently as it relates to job duties.
Be flexible and accommodating regarding center hours, work schedules, and appointment scheduling for prospects and members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
