About The Position
Friendship Village is seeking a compassionate, skilled and professional Part-time Massage Therapist to provide exceptional massage therapy services to its residents and staff. The role involves working primarily in the Essence Day Spa and periodically in the Assisted Living and Skilled Care Center on campus. The position offers a high degree of autonomy and a flexible schedule. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving quality of life and creating a relaxing experience for others.
Requirements
- Must be licensed in the State of Iowa.
- Graduated from a massage therapy training program approved by the State of Iowa.
- Ability to provide a full menu of massage services.
- Maintain Professional Liability Insurance with a minimum of $1 million /claim; $3 million aggregate coverage.
- Pass pre-employment screenings (Criminal background checks, Abuse registry check, Drug test, Physical, and TB test).
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience providing a full menu of massage services is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional massage therapy services to residents and staff.
- Work primarily in the Essence Day Spa.
- Periodically work in the Assisted Living and Skilled Care Center.
- Interact in a calm and positive manner while providing massage therapy experiences.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with residents and staff.
- Work occasionally at planned events throughout the year.
