About The Position

The Massage Therapist will provide each guest with excellent customer service, massages, and body treatments. This role requires offering the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, helpful, and professional attitude. The therapist will administer expert massage and body treatments for various purposes and needs within specified time frames, ensuring consistent professional treatments as directed in training and certification practices. Responsibilities include properly caring for equipment and products, communicating spa offerings, recommending and up-selling services, and handling guest inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. A commitment to continuing education and upholding protocols for cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms is essential. The therapist must maintain a healthy appearance and positive attitude as a representative of the Spa, and be comfortable around guests who may be in a state of undress. The role also involves troubleshooting and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Massage Therapy License or Permit
• Able to administer treatments to male and female guests in a professional manner.
• Understand and follow Blood Born Pathogen procedures.
• Excellent, reading writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Must be able to stand up to 9 hours per day.
• Able to lift 15lbs occasionally.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening, hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Must be able to operate office equipment such as computers, online booking platforms, printer, and two way radio.

• Initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner.
• Administer expert massage and body treatments for various purposes and needs and in the specific time frame given.
• Provide consistent professional treatments as directed in training classes and accepted certification practices.
• Properly care for equipment and product used.
• Communicate and describe in an articulate manner the spa offerings.
• Compare and contrast the different services on the menu.
• Recommend and up-sell services at the spa facility on property.
• Handle guest questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Respond to guest requests immediately, accurately, and appropriately.
• Understand the importance of and committed to continuing education.
• Works unsupervised for extended period of time.
• Uphold all protocols for set-up and cleanliness of treatment rooms.
• Understand that as a representative of the Spa they will maintain a healthy appearance and a positive attitude.
• Maintain a clean, safe, stocked and well-organized work area. Including extensive in-between client cleaning procedures.
• Maintains well-maintained spa appearance, cleanliness of facility and workspace.
• Comfortable around guests who may be in a state of undress.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve problems in fast paced environment.
