About The Position

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is seeking a Massage Therapist for the Idlewild Spa. This role is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by performing services to the highest standards and maintaining Omni's protocols. The hotel is part of a large mixed-use development and offers extensive meeting spaces, dining options, a spa, and fitness facilities. This position offers a starting salary of $11.41/hour plus gratuities, with the possibility of higher or lower compensation based on factors unrelated to sex or race. Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in massage therapy, preferably in an upscale salon or spa.
  • Proficient skills in traditional and modern forms of massage.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Team player.

  • Excellent client care, guest service, and attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to update technical skills by facilitating and participating in ongoing training.
  • Effective communicator.

  • Active therapist license required.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with State Board sanitation/sterilization procedures.
  • Responsible and dependable with the ability to fulfill on-call scheduling needs.
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts including holidays and weekends.
  • Commitment to exceeding customer expectations, always operating with a strong attention to detail to the guest’s needs.
  • Must be flexible and cooperative.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing back-to-back appointments in a high-volume 4-star environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the spa therapy team to provide the highest standard of treatment, creating an elevated, sensory journey for guests.
  • Support new Omni Safe and Clean Protocols throughout the spa.
  • Stock, set up, and reset treatment rooms according to operational checklists.
  • Remove dirty linens in a timely manner.
  • Maintain sanitation of work area and equipment as required by state board guidelines.
  • Ensure professional stock is used in compliance with PAR levels to reduce product waste.
  • Begin and end treatments at the published time and follow all treatment procedures.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment.
  • Ensure all guests depart with a completed Professional Recommendation Form after each service.
  • Encourage upgrades and achieve a minimum of 10% in retail sales per day/week/month.
  • Attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings.
  • Perform all services for which training has been received within the allotted period and without personal interpretation.
  • Report any maintenance problems throughout the spa to the proper authority.
  • Stay current and educated with new treatments and products in the Spa industry.
  • Maintain client and spa business confidentiality/privacy at all times.
  • Agree to and adhere to compensation acknowledgment and tip reporting guidelines.
  • Communicate any occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa to management.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
