About The Position

HealthFitness has an exciting opportunity for a Massage Therapist to join the team at our client site located in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you'll provide professional massage therapy services in a welcoming, wellness-focused environment while building meaningful relationships with clients and supporting their health goals. The schedule is part-time, up to 29 hours per week, with hours based on client appointments. The facility operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Join HealthFitness and make a positive impact by helping clients feel their best through the power of therapeutic massage.

Requirements

Massage Therapy License for the state of Michigan required.
Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
2+ years of massage therapy experience required.
Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
Experience in sports massage techniques.
Good communication skills; listening and verbal.

Responsibilities

Administering professional massage services to a wide variety of members and guests.
Perform numerous massage modalities and adjust delivery mode to address the needs of each customer.
General understanding of body treatments and be willing and able to learn the products and services provided.
Deliver on site chair massage in a corporate setting (incidental travel, set-up and tear down) in addition to a spa like environment within a fitness center.
Function as an active member of an integrated health and wellness team and support department wide events and strategies.
