About The Position

The Massage Therapist contributes to our guests' well being by ensuring proper treatments and screening for contraindications. Provides the highest level of professionalism, gracious service and treatment quality offered to our guest. The Spa at Torrey Pines is a destination for quality spa treatments, luxury amenities, and exceptional service. The 9,500-square-foot space features 14 treatment rooms and spa services inspired by its natural surroundings of the Pacific Ocean and the indigenous plant life of the treasured Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve.

Requirements

• Must have a current California Massage Therapist License.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience outside of school is required.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
• Exceptional attention to details, time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain poised under pressure with continued smiles, and maintain a highly diplomatic attitude with challenging guests and under stressful circumstances.

Nice To Haves

• Previous similar position in a spa or hotel is preferred.
• Experience with body wraps, scrubs, hot stone and prenatal massage is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides a positive, professional appearance and demeanor to our guests.
• Evaluates our guests' health conditions throughout the treatment to ensure a safety environment for our guests.
• Inform our guests of treatment steps to follow.
• Prepares treatment room for upcoming treatments.
• Ensures the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation for the department.
• Contributes to the success of the organization by promoting the products and services available at the spa.
• Ensures the facilities are well maintained.
• Follows the company's safety and emergency procedures.
• Maintains current credentials and licenses as required by city, county, and state regulatory agencies.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
