About The Position

Provides safe, appropriate and effective massage services to Southwest Health employees, patients, residents and community members, taking into consideration special physical or age-related needs. The massage therapist requires skills in assessing soft soft tissue and joint mobility and provision of manual techniques. The massage therapist reviews health history prior to treatment and ascertains precautions and contraindications to manual treatment prior to providing massage services. Observes and records reactions to manual techniques and modifies as indicated. Documents all sessions performed per established policy. The massage therapist is involved in marketing and program development and will work throughout the organization and in the community. Assists in the rehab department as needed.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy Program.
Current license in the state of Wisconsin required.
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) (Willing to obtain upon hire).
Able to interpret medical documentation and communicate using medical terminology.
