About The Position

Gene Juarez Salon & Spa is launching massage therapy at select locations as part of a wellness initiative. The company is seeking a Licensed Massage Therapist to provide high-quality, personalized massage services in a professional salon and spa environment at its University Village location. This part-time role offers consistent scheduling and requires availability on both weekend days. The therapist will help create a calm, welcoming guest experience and support the development of the company’s wellness offerings.

Compensation is $45–$58 per 60-minute service, based on experience and skill. Therapists may also receive gratuities and commission-based earnings from retail sales and add-ons. Estimated annual earnings are $38,000–$64,000, including tips and assuming 75% or greater occupancy. Initial training is paid at $21.30 per hour. Part-time employees may participate in the company’s 401(k) program and receive PTO at one hour for every 30 hours worked. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check.

Requirements

• Hold an active Washington State massage therapist license in good standing.
• Bring a professional, guest-first approach.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have reliable availability, including both weekend days.
• Have a passion for wellness and service excellence.
• Have the ability to stand and bend, and the manual dexterity and stamina needed to perform massage therapy services for extended periods.
• Be able to lift and carry supplies as needed.
• Successfully complete a background check as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized massage services focused on relaxation and wellness.
• Create a calm, welcoming, and professional guest experience.
• Maintain a clean, organized, guest-ready treatment space.
• Follow intake, safety, and service protocols.
• Recommend enhancements when appropriate to elevate the guest experience.
• Support rebooking and long-term guest relationships.
