About The Position

Provides treatment for physician referred patients and patients seeking care independently in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings and at employee and community events.

Requirements

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Certified Massage Therapist or Practitioner: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
• Massage therapy practice experience: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides massage therapy care to patients, employees and physicians.
• Adheres to and follows treatment precautions identified by physical therapists, nurses and physicians.
• Observes for changes in patient responses and reports changes to appropriate nurses and physical therapists.
• Provides daily and timely patient chart documentation of interventions and services provided in the acute care setting.
• Documents employee and out-patient treatments, as necessary.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
