About The Position

Inova Well is looking for a Massage Therapist to join our team. This role is PRN, with varying days Monday-Saturday and including evening shifts. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
200 clinical hours and 500 training hours from an accredited massage institute
Certification from an accredited massage institute
BLS from the American Heart Association required upon start
Virginia Licensed Massage Therapist

Nice To Haves

1 year of massage therapist experience
Prenatal and post-partum massage therapy experience

Responsibilities

Ensures a clean and orderly work area.
Greets/escorts patients to proper treatment areas in a timely manner.
Performs therapeutic massages to patients in the physical therapy clinic.
Cleans mats, tables, and equipment, per facility standards, prior to massages.
Adheres to department policies regarding timeframe, form, and content of written daily notes.
Demonstrates collaboration in communication with team members and is open to feedback and receptive to change.
Selects evaluation and treatment methods appropriate for the diagnosis, age group, and patients' physical/emotional status while formulating appropriate treatment plans.
Demonstrates essential skill competencies in the use of massage treatment techniques such as soft/deep tissue massage, effleurage, petrissage, myofascial release and trigger point release techniques.
May perform additional duties as assigned.
