Hotel Ivy is a luxury, Forbes-recommended hotel in downtown Minneapolis, offering an intimate, boutique experience with 136 guestrooms and unique event spaces. It features a Penthouse, three onsite restaurants and bars, and the Forbes 4 Star Anda Spa and Fitness. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in massage.
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest massage industry techniques, equipment, services, and products.
  • Willingness to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.
  • Customer service oriented and able to communicate effectively with clients, clinic management, fellow therapists, and sales staff.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push carts up to 50lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Good dexterity in fingers, wrists, and hands with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout spa and continuously perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.

Responsibilities

  • Performing all massage services for guests and members of the Spa.
  • Communicating and transcribing all information regarding guest medical history, services performed and product recommendations into the Spa Computer System.
  • Greeting guests and members in a professional, friendly manner.
  • Selecting appropriate spa treatments based on client needs after reviewing the client intake form.
  • Performing spa treatments within the scope of training and utilizing draping protocols.
  • Completing accurate and legible client intake notes.
  • Creating an excellent experience for guests and members through therapeutic touch and a friendly attitude.
  • Promoting the health and wellness benefits of spa treatments specific to each client and recommending frequency of services.
  • Safeguarding client information and confidentiality.
  • Executing professional boundaries and not engaging in dual relationships with clients.
  • Maintaining a professional and clean appearance of self and clinic by wearing a clean and pressed uniform, following table dressing and draping protocols, and keeping the therapy room clean.
  • Complying with attendance rules and being available to work on a regular basis.
  • Performing any other job-related duties as assigned.
