About The Position

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Massage Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis. The Spa Therapist/Massage Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality massage and body treatment services while creating an exceptional and personalized guest experience. This role requires a strong knowledge of multiple massage modalities, excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service, sanitation, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Must hold and maintain a current license through the Arizona Massage Board.
  • Experience with multiple massage and body treatment modalities requires.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a day spa or resort spa is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you, and Goodbye
  • Perform professional massage and body treatment in accordance with spa protocols and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough guest consultations to assess needs, preferences and wellness goals.
  • Customize treatments and recommend appropriate services and products.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of all spa services, treatments, and retail products.
  • Ensure services are performed within the scheduled time while maintaining quality standards.
  • Provide exceptional, personalized customer service in a welcoming and professional manner.
  • Anticipate guest needs to ensure a seamless experience from arrival to departure.
  • Reply to guests’ questions, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Educate guests on wellness, aftercare, and homecare recommendations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of treatment rooms, tools, and equipment in accordance with state regulations and spa policies.
  • Prepare treatment rooms before each service and properly clean and reset after each guest.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and sterilization standards as required by law.
  • Properly care for spa equipment and use products efficiently to support cost control.
  • Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts and appointments.
  • Maintain flexibility to support the operational needs of the spa, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding guest or staff concerns.
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing education.
  • Promote spa services, retail products, promotions and programs.
  • Assist in other areas of spa operations as needed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
