Clinical massage therapy focuses on specific medical conditions, injuries, and musculoskeletal dysfunctions. Treatment goals are established in consultation with the patient, and often in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, with targeted therapeutic outcomes that aim to restore function, reduce pain, and improve mobility. Licensed massage therapists use their knowledge and expertise in creating individualized treatment strategies to support recovery using various techniques and modalities including, but not limited to, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, connective tissue massage, manual lymphatic drainage and craniosacral therapy. Patients served may include adults and pediatrics, as well as prenatal, geriatric, orthopedic, and oncology populations.
